3 Day Trek

Go Deeper, Stay Longer

€170 per person | min. 2 people | pay on arrival

Three days, two nights in the jungle. More time, more trails, more wildlife and two different campsites along the way.

On day 1 we pick you up at 9am, walk through local community gardens with durian trees and rubber plantations and head into Gunung Leuser National Park. Around 6 hours of trekking, with one goal not just to see orangutans, but to meet them up close, on their terms. The camp is set up beside a small river. Wash up, coffee or tea, then a traditional Sumatran dinner  Sumatran freshly cooked at the camp. As night comes in, frogs start calling and fireflies appear in the trees.

Day 2 we pack up after breakfast and keep going. Around 5 to 6 hours of trekking to the second campsite this time beside a bigger river. Along the way there is a chance of spotting black siamangs. The second camp has a completely different feel - more open, bigger river, wider sky above you. Same evening routine with a fresh dinner cooked at the camp, frogs and fireflies.

Day 3 and you decide;

Option 1 — We take it easy, stay at the camp, relax by the river and simply enjoy the morning. Then we head to the river for a swim and tube rafting back to the village.

Option 2 — Back into the jungle for around 2 more hours of trekking before we make our way to the river for a swim and rafting home.

No pressure either way. We follow your lead.

The evening before your trek, one of our team will come to your guesthouse to introduce ourselves, explain what to expect, and answer any questions. So on the morning of the trek, you already know us.

Difficulty: Moderate. Kids 10 and above are welcome on overnight treks
